FERRER FREEMAN & COMPANY CLOSES ON $400 MILLION SECONDARY RECAPITALIZATION WITH MORGAN STANLEY

Sixpoint Partners is pleased to announce that Ferrer Freeman & Company, LLC (“FFC”), a healthcare focused private equity firm based in Greenwich, CT, has executed a secondary recapitalization and extension of FFC Partners III, L.P. (“Fund III”), a 2004 vintage fund with $400 million in original commitments. To effect the transaction, FFC partnered with Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners (“Morgan Stanley AIP”).

Transaction Overview

  • Morgan Stanley AIP’s participation is further validation of FFC’s growth capital strategy for investing in middle-market healthcare companies
  • As has been reported, following an extensive parallel due diligence process, Morgan Stanley AIP has committed to supporting FFC’s on-going investment activities
  • The transaction involved an innovative structure that provided Fund III limited partners with the opportunity to receive liquidity at a market premium or benefit from an extension of Fund III
  • The transaction received 100% LP approval
